1962 Ferrari 250 California SWB Replica
Ferrari 250 California SWB Replica
If you've ever seen the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" you'll recognize this car in a heartbeat. The Ferrari 250 California was available in 2 different versions, the earlier LWB (Long Wheelbase) and the SWB (Short Wheelbase) variations.
Powered by a 3 Liter Colombo V12 engine making 280 horsepower, with power sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission, these cars are often crowning jewels of collectors, often selling for nearly $20,000,000 each.
This specific car is a replica that is sitting on an original Series II 250 Cabriolet chassis from 1962 (valued at over $1,000,000), this car has been meticulously restored and upgraded with a brand-new body painted in Ferrari's iconic color, Rosso Corsa. The engine has been swapped for a modern 5.3L V8 producing more than double the original power, the transmission has been replaced with a modern 6-speed unit, and the brakes have been modernized with discs made by Wilwood on all 4 corners. While the car may not be exactly as it left the factory nearly 65 years ago, it's still quite the car to behold!
