Modified 1970 Shelby Gt500

The GT500 name has been synonymous with high-performance Mustangs since introduced by Shelby in 1967, taking the already impressive mustang and increasing power, upgrading the suspension, improving the brakes, and changing the styling to be even more aggressive. This car is a 1970 model, although the 1970 GT500s were actually unsold 1969 model year cars that had a few minor visual changes and were assigned new VINs (with permission of the federal government).

Finished in a stunning Grabber Green, you'll instantly notice the aftermarket hood with a massive intake that was designed for drag racing, giving it both a menacing look and allowing the engine to breath much easier. In the engine bay, the 428ci Cobra Jet V8 has been swapped with a side oiler 427ci V8, and mods include tunnel port heads, a 1,050-cfm Holley Dominator Model 4500 carburetor, an MSD distributor, ceramic-coated long-tube headers, Flowmaster mufflers, and more. The wheel wells have been widened by 1.5", allowing 215/70R15 tires up front and 295/65R15 tires in the rear, making sure that power gets to the pavement. Hitting the quarter mile mark from a standstill in the mid-11 second range and trap speed of 123mph, the car is no slouch either. The transmission remains the same 4 speed unit, and the car was ordered new with the extra heavy duty suspension, although it has since had KYB Excel-G rear shocks and traction bars. With a mix of classic design and modern enhancements, this GT500 stays true to its roots while offering an even more exciting drive.
