1963 Chrysler 300 Convertible

Chrysler 300 Convertible Pacesetter
When people hear of the Chrysler 300, most think of the 4 door sedan built between 2011 and 2023, but most people don't know that the 300 started all the way back in 1955 as the Chrysler C-300 (also known as the Chrysler 300A). Chrysler continued producing the 300 for 12 years, and each subsequent model year the letter was changed to the next one in the alphabet (with the exception of the jump from H to J, as Chrysler were worried people would confuse the letter I with the number 1).

The 1963 Chrysler 300J was the first year of the 4th generation of the 300, although for the 1963 model year the convertible wasn't part of the "Letter Series",and was instead part of the "Sport Series", removing the letter J from the official name. To celebrate the 300 Convertible being 1963's official pace car for the Indianapolis 500, Chrysler offered the "Pacesetter" package, which included different exterior markings, an oblong steering wheel, and a push-button auto with slightly different controls.

The car we have here on the showroom floor is finished in Glacier Blue with a cream leather interior with under 6600 miles showing on the odometer. You'd be hard pressed to find another example in as good of shape as this one!
